 Product Details The electromagnetic flowmeter is a kind of measuring instrument based on Faraday law of electromagnetic induction,which can measure the volume
flow of electrically conductive liquid ,seriflux and so on.The third most common flowmeter behind differential pressure and positive displacement flow meters, is the magnetic flow meter, also technically an electromagnetic flow meter or more commonly just called a mag meter. A magnetic field is applied to the metering tube, which results in a potential difference proportional to the flow velocity perpendicular to the flux lines. The physical principle at work is electromagnetic induction. The magnetic flow meter requires a conducting fluid, for example, water that contains ions, and an electrical insulating pipe surface, for example, a rubber-lined steel tube.An electromagnetic flowmeter is composed of two parts- electromagnetic flow
sensor and electromagnetic flow transducer.

Not affected by the change of the fluid condition such as density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity, and the signal output of inductive voltage is linear to average velocity, therefore it has a high accuracy of measurement.

Short straight pipe required, only 5D for upstream and 3D for downstream due to inductive voltage signal which is the average value in the cross-section of the pipe.
